On Friday 11th June Robertson were pleased to sponsor the 4th Annual Angus Council Excellence Awards ceremony to celebrate the talents of Council employees in delivering outstanding services to the people of Angus.
Robertson was appointed by Angus Council to deliver a £50 million redevelopment of the council's education estate. Completed in 2009, the project comprised the design, construction, financing and operation of six primary schools and a major new extension to Carnoustie High School.
The awards were created to celebrate the success of frontline and support services staff to formally recognise the contribution that their work makes to the achievement of the council's goals.
Commenting on the scheme Angus Council's chief executive David
Sawers said: "The awards celebrate the positive difference Angus Council staff and services make to the lives of the people of Angus. That is just as relevant for a roads project delivered ahead of schedule or housing repairs done to an excellent standard as it is for improved finance processes or better energy management.
"They are an integral part of the council's improvement agenda; helping to motivate employees as they strive for continuing professional development and service improvement.
"We are very grateful to Robertson and our other sponsors for their generous support of the awards scheme as it allows us to appropriately recognise our employees success."
